The Place Called Home

After a longggg hours trip, finally I'M HOME. I just arrived at Jakarta safely last night with my Mom and boyfriend *from now on, let's we call him, Andre (:*. Our flight from Hong Kong has delayed and we had to wait for a half hour in the boarding gate and half hour more in the plane. A little bit tired, but we are so happy finally home with family (:

Anyway, we spent one night in Hong Kong, we stayed in Mom's friend house and they took us to walk in the town. Fun fact about us: even though we already knew about our "overweight" luggage, but we couldn't hold ourselves to shopping in Hong Kong! Haha! Psst, I also got my new blouse from H&M! Less minutes before we get to airport, we were so busy re-pack our stuffs (please don't try this :P).

Not A Resolution

Thisis not a resolution list, but something that I want to do MORE in this twentytwelve year.

So,here they are:

1. My mom said, “You’regrowing up, stop buying t-shirts already! You should buy something make youmature or anything. And for shoes, go get some heels or flats, anything girlie.” Well, I think she’s totally right! So I stop buying sneakers andt-shirts, try to get some pretty flats and beautiful blouses or shirts in thisyear! Currently craving for these: Malta Button Top by Cotton On, Blue Sweater from H&M and a beautiful backpack from J.ESTINA (which is seems so impossible to get it ^^;). I'm looking for some new flats too!

2. I am always having alack of creative writing, after I realized, I don’t read any books in lastyear. I mean, yes I read... but I don’t put a commitment to read it. You shouldhave a commitment in diet-project, in a marriage or relationship, you will makea relationship with book so I think we should have the commitment thing. I tryto read at least 1 book in two months. Any recommendations? (:

3. Remembered the firsttime I bought some make-up things and my Mom was so happy about that! Shethought that her only daughter is really growing up! :P

But sadly, until now, I cannot use them well. I failed to put eyeliner,failed to put eye shadow, even not so good to put mascara (but I know theresult after I put mascara, IT’S FABULOUS! My eyes look so perfect!). I watch somevideos tutorial for helping me so, and now I’m so craving for Gel Eyeliner by Maybelline, and I wanna ask you guys, can you tell me the bestliquid eyeliner for the beginner and for monolids eyes like me? I will bewaiting for the answers, thank you so much!

4. This is the mostimportant! I’d gained some weights last month and my friends keep saying to methe words like, “are you gaining some weight? You look… full.” BAH! This is notvery good! Last month when my Mom visited me, she also said the same thing thatI definitely need to lose weights! I’m not doing a diet project, BUT, I’m doingto do a habit calls: EAT HEALTHY FOODS. I’ve made a healthy-rules board on mywall what I’m going to do everyday, like eat fruits and veggies everyday,workouts at least 20 minutes/day, avoid high calories food etc. So far, I lose2 pounds, I’m near to my basic healthy body! :D

5. And the end, always begrateful for today. Anything happens good or bad, sad or happy, we have to sayTHANKS to our God, because He’s good. “Thank God because He's good,because His love never quits.”–Psalm 118:1.

The lastday of 2011 is now, is today. Make sure there are no any regrets in you beforewe say goodbye to 2011! If you guys remember, in the last January, I wrotemyself a new year’s letter. I just opened the letter again, read it and a littleflashback moment popped out in my mind. Thanks God for Him, the only One alwayswalks by my side and this year has been an amazing year. For the struggling,for the happiness, for the time to chase on my dreams, everything! God isalways good, all the time! :D

I don’tmake any recap in my blog, I usually make it personal to myself and I just wantto tell you all, this is the time to move on in 2012! I believe that will bemore opportunities and dreams to chase. Whatever that is, just take the chancewhenever you find it! And I have something to tell you my dear friends here,but I cannot tell it now what it is after I really make sure it has done. It’s kinda little project with one of my friend in 2012, I set the project deadline is inthe middle of 2012, because it would need a few months more to make it perfect.Are you wondering? :P
Just wish me and my friend a luck to do this project, I will be so grateful!

My mom is in 安徽,芜湖 right now, she just texted me she has arrived there and now she's taking a rest after 5 hours trip from Guangzhou. I miss her already, although she will come back here in three weeks. She will spend along Christmas and New Year without me or dad or brothers. I wish she gets some new friends and learns something new in her training weeks. Take care, Mum (:

Everybody is so waiting for Christmas Day! Tell me why you are so exciting about Christmas. Is it about the christmas tree? christmas gifts? christmas sale? Well, it's all about my Lord Jesus's birthday! 2000 years ago, He was born in the little town of Bethlehem and He saved our life by His grace. After I read Stevia's post right here, I think that's the point why we celebrate Christmas every year... at least for me. Happy earlier Christmas everyone!

Every time I check up my blog, every time I keep talking to myself that I should write something already in here. And here I am now, I'm back to the atmosphere, tehee (:

Month of December, people always going to be very busy with Christmas things. I just celebrated Christmas day in my church last week (eh, time flies so fast! it has been a week!), we worked together as a team and God always be our Leader, at the end the event was very great! Now I'm kinda missing the rehearsal time that we always do almost everyday, let's make another event, guys! :P

Today is my special day, my mom's is coming from Jakarta! She has arrived already in Hong Kong, she will be in here next morning and we are going to have fun! Well, actually my mom is taking something like chinese course for chinese teacher in An Hui for 3 weeks, so we planned that we're going back to Indonesia together in January, sounds great? I miss my mom... my dad and my brothers. My eldest brother is in college now in Bali, my parents and my 10 y.o brother in Jakarta, so we are waiting for this moment to gather in.

Anyway, last night I subscribed at Jeff Goin's website taking his free "Intentional Blogging" course. This is my time I should blogging seriously and I have to improve my English too, so I decided to join this course for 12 weeks. Jeff is going to send the lessons every week to you email. This morning, I got my lesson one and I can't wait for the next one. I found Jeff's website from thewritepractice.com, recommended for all of you that want to practice or improve your writing skill, they have amazing advice and inspiration for famous authors. I hope you will find something that you never knew before in their site. Like Jeff said in his lesson 1, time to be awesome!

I'm so sorry I have been missing like for thousand years. I have a big problem with the dorm internet and also the free proxy program to open all these locked sites. Some people said that one of free proxy program was found out by chinese government, so all of us here are trying to find the new program. I'm using the old proxy right now, thanks God I'm log on to Blogspot! I miss my blog, I miss writing in here, I have bunch story to tell actually, and I miss all of you guys! ): I will check on your page right now before the connection have a relapse again, kkk. Newbie Place!

Holla finally I'm back to the blogsphere! It has been a week since I moved here, the new dorm. What can say... WOW. Yes, my new dorm it's a WOW. I can hear everyone keep saying that our new dorm building is the best dorm in our school *of course it is!*. The best thing is, we have FREE internet connection for two months! Dancing around, haha! Anyway, you have to visit our dorm by night, very beautifulllll. Ahh, I just love this place! This atmosphere! Someday I will show you the outdoor view. Tonight, I'm just gonna show you my new desk, gahgah :P A little bit different from the old one, I was so happy I can decorate my new desk again. Fyi, I have 3 roomates, just like before in the old place, but different roomates. Each person in a room have our own desk and bed, the bed is top of the desk. Can you imagine that? It reminds me to my old bed when I was a kid, tehee. So this is my new favorite place to work, study, internet surfing, anything!

This is my favorite side of my studying desk. I put of all my CDs collection on top, which I brought them all from Jakarta, the center is all of my books collection, some of them I brought too from home and some I bought here and the last part is random. The stationery place, little monkey from a friend, a big money-box (the pink one) and also my handphone case (the black one, one of Japanese cartoon character, I forgot what the name it is!) I patched something if you noticed, a little memo (or maybe kind of post-it) there, I write anything that I have to do that day.

On the left side, I have these all. My beauties things and the others. There are some my meal set plus my breakfast on the top.

And this is the whole desk's view! Perfect! :D

I'm pretty sure there are will be some more random things later on my desk. Actually, I have another hidden place on the bottom, but I won't share them, kkk. Oh right, I got the most cleanest and tidiest desk in my room! *applauseee* hahaha! I'm so good to arrange something orderly, I learned it from my mom and dad since I was little. They would be so proud if they know. About my new roomates, thanks God I have awesome roomies! We share our wardrobe together, mix it match that, go shopping together on weekend and cooking together for dinner. Speaking of the wardrobe, this is my new wardrobe.

Mostly autumn-winter outfits, I prepared anything for it, the summer outfits I placed them on top. A little bit messy in there so I have to clean them up later.

Thank you guys for the comments since I left. I'm very fine right now. And there's one question from Stevia - The Sweetest Escape, "If you can spend a lovely day as someone else, who would you be? :)" thanks Stev for asking, this is a hard one, haha! Hmm... I would be a cooking chef! Haha! I'm so into cooking stuffs since this last month, I was wondering it would be a perfect, lovely day as you can said it, if I could be a chef. I cook something special for some people that I love, I cook something based on my own recipes, ahhh... this will be a lovely day! (:

Moving Day!

I'm so busy in this morning, I packed all of stuffs that needed to move by day. Yeah! I'm moving today! Finally, they decided to make this announcement yesterday and we rushed to finish our stuffs. I am not sure the new dorm building has a internet connection already or not, but before it's too late, I wanna to say to all of you, my readers, thanks for loving my I love Hongkong post. Seriously, I'm so happy when read all of you comments! And for those who followed me, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Jane very very loves you! I promise I'll be back with the part two after I'm ready in the new room. I ♥ Hongkong (part 1)

Remember my post about summer here? I have a great summer MORE better than last year! What can I say is, this is the best summer so far! I regret the most I didn't fly home this year, I stayed for whole summer in this city. Quite sad, but the condition wasn't that bad. I still enjoy and have some fun during this summer time. I didn't spend my money for holiday, the other way, I EARNED some money for my own "pocket money." I feel so proud on myself, it's time for me to grow up, right? I won't bother my mom&dad again for money. Although something made me sad though about my job *which I won't explain here*, but I still can survive in this holiday. Yuhuu! :D

I want to share here with you guys is... the best part of my summer holiday!
I'm always craving someday I will have my Hongkong trip. And the wish comes true!
Last week, on Monday, me with my bf FINALLY went to Hongkong!! *applause*
Sorry being so excited, but have a trip to Hongkong, is my biggest dream. Well yeah I visited Hongkong before and the post about it you have seen at here, but that's not an official trip. THIS IS, THIS IS the official one! I woke up at 5, I was even preparing my clothes for this trip. We rode by train and one hour later we arrived. Tell you what, the atmosphere in Hongkong with China is definitely different! The air-smell, people, anything are totally different. I am not being pleonastic here, but you may ask some people that ever been in Hongkong. I bet you we felt the same thing. Anyway, my boyfriend is so familiar with Hongkong, he was there for many times so he always be my guide. kkkk.

Actually, we arrived earlier. The stores on the side road still closed, but as we walked to the Metro Station, so many Hongkong people were ready to begin their busy daily work.

I'm always curious about Hongkong culinary. I love to eat something like "jajanan" or maybe in chinese it called "小吃" (xiao chi). They called Hongkong as a "world of delicious food" and yeah it is. But sadly, I didn't much time for culinary trip, I spent my whole day walk through the city, enjoy the beautiful view and window shopping! I swear I'll be back for Hongkong more often to discover the food!

Taraa~ I found this small stall on the side road, they sell something like dumplings, shumai (as called "siomay" in Indonesian). meatballs, and any dimsum. I bought one Shumai Stick for 3HKD only! and it tastes so good. Hmmm... morning breakfast!

After a stick of Shumai, we journeyed on the street. The Hongkong weather was so friendly to us. my boyfriend checked the weather forecast night before there will be a rainy day, thanks God gave us a beautiful bright day!

Our first stop at Langham Place. We visited the shopping mall. This is the greatest mall that I ever seeen! The exterior of the mall is characterised by an iconic multi-faceted façade of yellow fissured Brazilian granite stretching from street level to the roof. And they have a highhhhhh escalator inside the mall.

This is a horoscope wall. There is a big wall with holes. Each hole refers to one zodiac name. You peek inside the hole of your zodiac, then you can see your zodiac oracle.

I think the mall concept this month is all about zodiac. I found the another interesting about zodiac thing. This machine will tell your fortune by donate your dollars into the machine, choose your selection item, then the machine will work. Then, a silly idea popped out from my head, I keep my Rupiahs in my purse, I was thinking what would happened if I put Rupiahs into the machine. But, stupid me... THE MACHINE DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. hahaha! It didn't! really! I hit the machine and kick it, they stealed my 5000 Rupiahs, huhu. Then I realized the warning "there is a hidden camera watching you!" above the machine so I stop kick it :P

Time for us to lunch! We didn't know actually what should we eat. We went to Causeway Bay for window shopping. We didn't find any restaurant to stop by. My boyfriend planned to have a lunch at Modern Toilet. But we couldn't find the store (which is actually the store already closed). So we chose our place for lunch randomly.

Fyi, when the first time I entered this place and looked for the menu, the prices is killing me!
It's really expensive and I don't really like the dishes. I keep bothering my boyfriend to go to other places, but he refused. We looked up the menu again and again for... 10 minutes, maybe? And we end up with this foods.

Okay, sorry babbling before about this restaurant. But after I tasted this meatballs, THEY TASTES VERY NICE. I still mind about the prices but its okay now. And I love the bowl design, tehee.

And this was my boyfriend ordered. I didn't remember what it called. But it tastes very spicy, he keep sweating while eating this food, hahaha.

1. I love dancing.

But not in public (underlined). Not everyone of my friends or somebody know that I love to dance. My parents and my brother often find me dance alone in my room at home (I have a secret place to dance, but now it's not a secret again for my family since they found me. BUSTED!). If I turn on the music player with loud volume, then they know that I'm dancing. lol stupid, eh? but yeah, I love dancing!

2. I'm a big fan of Korean Girl-Band, Girls' Generation.

My favorite member goes to Tiffany Hwang! She's the best and the one of my role model. I could make a long paper about her, so I will stop here, haha!

3. I can speak Mandarin fluently.

Mandarin is my mother language since I was born, I talk Mandarin at home with my mom cause she's only the one who speaks Mandarin. Mom has been studied Chinese in Taiwan for 6 months. I used to talk with my brother also, but ah... I think he didn't get interested at all in Chinese.

4. I love to read and write. No doubt!

5. I like to drink coffee.

Just like my dad. I drink it as a breakfast, I drink it whenever I get sleepy. People maybe prefer to sleep in the afternoon instead of drinking coffee like me. Yeah, coffee keep me awake anytime!

6. I'm a fashion lover.

Okay, I don't have a fashion blog, I rarely write something about fashion, but I do love it. I love to shop something beautiful for me to wear, sometimes I browse Chictopia or my favorite fashion bloggers as my references and clothes inspiration. Or StarStyle if I want to dress like a celebrity :D My fashion inspiration: Alexa Chung, Rachel Bilson and Girl's Generation (the airport fashion is awesome!).

Day 11 - "Meatballs I love you!"

This is maybe a late post. Two weeks ago, I went to Beijing Road again and again (I think this is my favorite place to go during holiday...) after I helped Sastika to pick her up and her family from their holiday trip. I was craving for meatballs that day, and the best meatballs restaurant is in Beijing Road (or Beijing Lu usually we call in Mandarin). This is another meatballs that I've posted here, but comes from the same place in China, ChaoZhou. This place serves one thing that I can't found anywhere in Guangzhou. They have famous fried-fish skin! They would be appeared in this photos.

and this is the most important sauce when you eat this meatballs *at least for me*, not every one likes to add this sauce to their bowl, but this is my very favorite! the sauce cup is on each table, so I (YOU!) can add FREELY to your bowl! isn't good? :D

Writing this post makes me want to eat them again for lunch! Last Friday, my friend, Agret and her sister stayed in Guangzhou for few days. I took her and her sister to Beijing Lu to have this meatballs. Guees what, THEY LOVE IT! They love the fried fish skin too! "It all ends here..."

So finally, I've said goodbye to my half part of my childhood memory days ago.
I was crying like a baby when I got the ticket, haha nope I'm kidding. But yes I cried two times through the story. I cried when it's scene of Severus's death and the scene of Hogwarts Battle. We lost so many people in the battle. Lavender Brown, Professor Nymphadora and Remus Lupin and the last was Fred Weasley. Regrettably, they didn't show us how they died on the battle.

The funny part while I'm watching this film, my boyfriend who-doesn't-love/like Harry Potter and he never watched/read Harry Potter for his entire life keep asking me about the story line. Then before we go to the cinema, I talked a lot about Harry Potter story from the first until the last. He was confusing how about Harry becomes a wizard and why Voldemort killed Harry's parents and why Voldemort was exist! Hahaha, poor him. But I was happy and grateful he wanted to accompany me to watch something he don't even now about the movie :P

Day 10 - Fast and Furious

Last Monday, I went to cinema to watch Transformer 3 with my boyfriend. He was craving a lot for this movie (oh, boys... :P). Glad that I've watched Transformer from the first sequel, so I didn't get lost for this movie. After watched, he can't stop to talk about the film, he told me that he didn't get some part of the movie. He said he will buy the DVD and he will watch over again from the first one (ps: he has the first and second DVD already). I just nodded my head then, he's exactly like my brother, Transformer and DVDs, hahaha!

We were kinda rushed that day for the ticket. The ticket was 01:00 PM and we bought it at 12:25 PM. We hadn't have lunch yet, so we run to the near restaurant in the mall for lunch. We were a little worried because the place where we ate was so crowded. We had chinese fast-food for our lunch, the place called "KungFu"- very popular in China. I never like to eat in this place if there's a certain condition like this. I think the price of the food is too expensive. But I'm pretty sure, Chinese people here loves to eat here.

So this is what I ordered. I don't know what it called, but my packet contains a plate of mushrooms&meats, a bowl of meat soup, vegetables and rice. Sorry for the blurry and bad caps, in hurry... rushed... and we had fast&furious on our lunch, hahaha!

Oh good news for all of you guys, I'M GONNA WATCH HARRY POTTER DH PART 2 TODAY! I'm so damn excited finally I will watch it! Well, I will get the 01:00 PM ticket again, so... I'M IN HURRY AGAIN (lol)

Day 9 - Spicy,Sour,Fish!

I'm back again for another foods porn! Gah, there are still 21 days for my challenges?? See, I'm still the bad one! I'm still the lazy one! Okay stop complaining about myself, let's see what I'm gonna showing you guys here.

I should post this pictures past weeks ago, but refers to the reason that I mention in the previous post, I delayed it. Weeks ago, Sastika asked me to go eat something good for dinner, she said she's getting bored in dorm, so she is better going outside. I didn't have any idea to eat, and finally we both decided to have "酸菜鱼" (read: suan cai yu - it's a spicy sour fish *ohh I had a bad bad translation*) after you see this pictures, you know what I mean, hahaha!

Got it? Yap, that's it a BIG bowl of that spicy-sour-fish and we finished it them all just by ourself! Err... Sastika was giving up at the end actually, she couldn't take it anymore, hahaha! But I was still trying to finish it, hey it is 28 Yuan of big bowl whole fish in it, wasting food is a bad habit, kids :P And we ordered something sweet for neutralize our mouth beside the spicy-sour-fish ~~(whoaa, I am getting love to say that in english!).~~

Day 8 - It's still continuing

Hey guys, sorry being missing for past few days. I was so deadly prepared for my piano exam (which is finally DONE today!). Quick story about the exam, it was well, although I did too much mistakes on the beginning when the examiner asked to play scales. I'm not a professional scales player, now I regret it a lot that I didn't focus on it in my entire life (well, in piano life lol). Now I will practice more for the preparation of the next graded exam. Anyway, thanks for those prayers from my dearest mom&dad, friends and you bb (:

So, back to the food challenge. I guess I'm still the bad blogger, I just couldn't finish it well. Pardon me ): I will try harder to finish the challenges until the end. I promise.

I will show you what I had for lunch for two days ago. Sastika asked me and my boyfriend to cook for lunch that day with the other friends too. We said yes and we got a task to buy all of cooking ingredients in the market. We're gonna making "Nasi Gila" which is in English "Freaky Rice"? XD

Well, "Nasi Gila" is quite popular in Indonesia such as like "Nasi goreng tek2" or something of them. Something special from "Nasi Gila" is it tastes very spicy and the rice cooked separately with margarine and eggs. Sastika is so well to make this then she is the chef for that day. And the result is, VERY YUMMY! I told her to not cook too spicy for me, although she just put little chilies on my 'special' portion, I'm still sweating along while eating it, hahaha. But we had some fun anyway that afternoon, I want the other day we cook together again (:

Day 7 - HOOT

Guangzhou it's very HOT yesterday, VERY. I got a terrible headache after that but I am okay now. A glass of VitC will help me getting better.

Me and boyfriend had Korean dishes for our lunch yesterday. Basically, I don't really like Korean dishes, it tastes different with other Asian foods. But here I think they cook with different way, so I am able to eat it.

I don't really understand why many of my friends love to eat Jajangmyeon. It's good but I cannot enjoy to eat it. So, I didn't finished it all, sorry ):
Lesson today: never order what you aren't going to eat it.

Day 6 - "I am not very hungry."

I woke up earlier today without any reason... well, actually yeah I have a reason. I want to have McDonald's breakfast this morning, but I didn't set the alarm to wake me up last night. The breakfast packet only from 06:00-11:00 AM, so I just got up and rushed to McD immediately. Thanks God McDonald counter is near my school building, it's exactly near by the Hongkong restaurant I posted here. It was 08:30 and I got home with my yummy breakfast.

Because of the breakfast reason, I didn't eat much for my lunch. I will have meat on my plate casually, but for that afternoon I only had eggplant rice for my lunch. I felt so healthy when I ate this, hahaha! I don't really eat vegetables before and I hate eggplant the most, but since I live in Guangzhou, I eat any kind of vegetables, amazing huh am I? My mom will be so happy if she knows about this.

This is kinda a spicy pork thing, I tell you... very very SPICY!

And by night, I had chinese food too for dinner. I don't know why I was not too hungry all this day, I ate a portion of chicken rice with black pepper sauce, I could finish them all usually, but for today nope.

Day 5 - Simple Eat

We had a late lunch for today, I was so hungry and I almost forget to take my food picture until my boyfriend reminded me of that, hahaha. We went to my boyfriend campus area, I just love to have my lunch there, they have my favorite things to eat, especially these all that I will post below!

I had meatballs again for my lunch, hahaha! But this is different, this food comes from a place in China, "潮州" (read: Chao Zhou), it's Chao Zhou's specialty. I knew this place from my boyfriend, his loves to eat this every time he goes to campus. And FYI, his family are 潮州人 too, so maybe ~~this is the another reason :P~~

You can pick any kind of meatballs and another addition you want when order, they also have different price, according to what you ordered. Oh, and... all of meatballs are homemade (:

After lunch at here, never forget to have some favorite drink too :D

58C (or we call 58度 "58 du") is a milk tea counter, same like Happy Lemon, Quickly and friends. But I don't buy their milk tea, introducing you the most delicious, freshen, tasty beverage... TARAA~

This is Honey Green Tea "蜂蜜绿茶", promise me if you come to here and visit 58C counter, don't forget to try this one. A very best friend in summer especially, hahaha. By the way, I only buy honey green tea in this counter (the campus area), I don't buy in somewhere else, they have different taste, here is the best one (:

Day 3 plus 4 - From Dragon Hole to IKEA

Sorry before I missed the post for day 3, I was very tired on that day so I couldn't post up the pictures here. So here is, I will show you now.

I went to a place called "龙洞" (read: Long Dong - dragon hole in English, hahaha!) for lunch and bought some various snacks there. I used to love visit this place in the first semester for buy some cheap clothes, but now I love this place because they have many kind of food, especially for their 小吃 (xiao chi - means snacks or 'jajanan kecil' in Bahasa). I went to a food stand which sell Macau Noodle, well it likes fried noodle, but they have different flavor, it's very good! Too bad I forgot to take the picture of the noodle, I was so excited (and hungry) to eat it, so yeah no pictures of this QQ noodle |:

Not getting enough with the noodle, me also bought another snacks, this is the most favorite snacks too, me and my friends fall in love with this snacks. I don't know how to say in English, but they sell something like 'gorengan', there are fried-squids, fried-sweet potato, fried chicken and chicken pops (I LOVE CHICKEN POPS!). I bought the chicken pops of course.

After that, me with boyfriend went to a fast food restaurant to eat fried chicken. I told you, this is the famous place to eat the best chicken in Longdong, hahaha. My boyfriend is a big fan of chicken so he loves this place :D

Today, me with boyfriend, Sastika and Darius went to salon for hair cut. Sastika decided to cut her long-curly hair to short hair, and my boyfriend also wants to cut his hair. So yeah, they busy with the stylish, me and Darius waited for them. And the result, there's nothing big change with my boyfriend, I mean boys do a hair cut almost every month, but Sastika has a big change! She looks so cute in her new short hair! Well, she was sad because she lost her long hair, but what done is done, right? You still cute with your new hair, kkk (:

After done with the hair things, I asked them to go to IKEA for eat. I'm always thinking about the famous meatballs in IKEA, and fortunately, they have 50% for the meatballs!
So, this is the famous meatballs that I wanted!

DAY 2 - Another 'Hongkong'

Okay, it's a lame title, but what I will show you below something related to Hongkong (again).
Remember that I've mentioned before in this post about one of Hongkong restaurant near my school? I had my dinner today there. I'm not really hungry so I just ate this delicious mian (noodle ♨) . It tastes like Indomie, Indonesian instant noodle, hahaha. But this is different, there were couple sausages and eggs in the noodle, really YUM! Actually this is my favorite order when winter season, but it's okay too if you eat in summer, kkkk.

Oh, I don't really sure it should be day two or day three, but there was a bonus post so I think this should be "day two". Enjoyyyyy! Slruppp!

Something Founded in HK (BONUS POST)

Yesterday I just had 15 hours trip to Hongkong. I met Sastika there and we enjoyed our little time.Actually me and her had a music training so we were here.
I was so excited in Hongkong, sadly I didn't have much time to enjoy every single place in there.But I WILL, someday! Yippie!

I arrived at the guesthouse with my boyfriend where Sastika stayed for three days, and we decided to have lunch first before the training. We wanted to eat Burger King before I realized a small Chinese restaurant near the BK location. So we changed our plan from BK to this little place for eat.And you know what, WE LOVE THIS PLACE! We didn't get disappointment with the food and the waiters are sooooo friendly! The one who served us, taught us a little Cantonese so we ordered with the words which she told us, hahaha!

it was so hot weather and I've walked from a longggg route until I arrived at the guesthouse.

Day 1 - Pizza Mania

So we went to Saizeria for lunch. What is Saizeria? It's a place where you can enjoy pizza, any kinds of pasta and snacks like chicken wings, sausages, etc. This is my favorite place to eat pasta! I don't really like pizza but sometime I will order it too. So these are what I ordered for our lunch :D

Finally I got the idea for 30 days challenges. I told my boyfriend about this project and asked him to help me. He said it should be a challenge that I love or I like to do, well I said I love food (lol!) No, no I won’t do a challenge like Julie Powell did, she loves food and cook, I love food and eat! Hahaha. So, I will tell you about special delicious food, my favorite various snacks in Guangzhou, place where I live now, I will write everyday about it for 30 days, which is for a month during my summer holiday. I make the list for this challenges, this is a sneak-peak for the food. Drooling drooling!

Anyway, remember that I had said about I got a job from my auntie in her trading company couple months ago? Well, I don’t work there. My aunt wants me focusing for college, beside, she needs a full-time worker I think, I can’t fix my schedule with that works, so, yeah, I don’t take that job. But I’m still trying to get a job here, thank God two days ago I got an order job from my friend. It’s a job to help him looking for some stuffs here and then I will deliver the stuffs, he is running a business in Jakarta. And I have to prepare my 6^th grade Royal piano examination this August third, wish me luck!

Julie and Julia (2009) is an American comedy-drama film written and directed by Nora Ephron, also based on true two stories, starring such great actors Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci, Chris Messina. The movie was adapted from Julia Child's autobiography"My Life in France" and Julie's Powell's book "Julie&Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen".

This movie begin in 1949, Julia Child's story when she and her husband - who works in diplomat, Paul Child, was moving to Paris. Child is wondering how she will spend her days in Paris, then she has discovered her passions, cook and eat. So she decided to take cooking class in Cordon Bleu.

Meryl Streep is really amazing actress, she is so adorable playing role as Julia Child. I've known Streep since I watched The Devil Wears Prada, from devil fashion editor magazine to American French chef. If you love culinary or cooking and friends, I tell you to watch this. You wouldn't regret. And surprisingly, I found myself in Julie's character. Look, she is a-unpublished-book-writer, and me too. She decided to make a blog because her passion, me too. She loves cooking, me... too? I love eating :P
Talking about her 365 projects, I just thinking about making a project too for my blog, my blog is getting dreary day by day. I searched along about blogger challenges and it's all about 30 days challenges, which is many bloggers had done with that. Maybe I should think another one, another different and new. Ideas needed... Cadbury Hot Chocolate for night dessert.

It's June, it's summer, and it's time to studyyyyy hard for final exams!I'm not going back home this summer, I told my parents I will try to find a job here after I finish the exams.

My friends have a plan for r summer holiday later, they are so busy to prepare their holiday schedule, but me... here, I keep trying to search summer internship for this year. I'm thinking of being a barista at Starbucks, being a ~~book keeper~~ bookstore employee at UN Books or New Pages, or working at my aunty's trading office here. Ahh it will be a great experience for me! Like Gabriella Montez in High School Musical 2 said, "I want to remember this summer," so do I!

Maybe it's a little too late I made a post about Spring, but yeah Spring is coming to town.
Finally, I can feel the warm of sunshine and the wind blows softly, refreshing my mind and lungs.

Still talking about Spring here, yesterday I went to Beijing Street to have lunch and visit some stores. I didn't plan to buy anything there but I'm sure I WILL buy something so I take some money in my purse, just in case :p

I visited Yishion Store, they have pretty new arrival things there. Flowers, pale and nude colors are everywhere. I picked some clothes for fitted and finally I chose this cute shorts with flowers pattern to take home, yeay!

BOOKS

I got so many books on my bookshelf that haven't finished yet, even I don't even know I had bought that book. Every time I go visit a bookstore, I can't lead myself, so many good books are there waiting for me to read. They stand on the shelf beautifully. That's why people say bookstore is my heaven. I can spend my whole day for hours in 'my heaven'.
People ask me what kind of book I generally read, the answer: I read anykind of books. Literature, biography, non-fiction, fiction, traveling, entertainment, self improvement, blah blah blah. Writing is my passion, I can call myself as a part-time writer (eventhough I don't publish any books before, haha :p), so I should read more books for help me to get some inspirations.

The books I read recently, on the top, is bought by my mom, my Mom bought it cause she wants me to improve my Chinese before I come here for study. Guess what? I'm just too lazyyyyyy to finish it. It has been for 3 years since my Mom bought the book! Another reason, I'm a slow reader, people... another one, the book is in Chinese, it's obviously right? :p
Second one (in the middle), also in Chinese, bought it in UN Book Store here, it's about how to become a wealthy in 20 y.o, actually this is written by a Korean author but it was translated to Chinese. It's a nice book honestly, but same reason... lazyyyy to read cause it's in Chinese, hahaha! *got slapped*
And the last one, got it when I was in holiday a month ago. It's about our health, written by a Indonesian doctor. One more time, a writer have to read anykind of book even it's about 'doctor' book. I got some information, many secrets about our body from this book. You guys (female of course, because it's all about woman inside!) should read this book, I recommend!

Okay, first... I'm a Twilight Saga HUGE fan. Speak honestly, I hate the fact they decided to make the movie version, heyyy you guys had ruined my imagination about the vampires and the werewolfs |: (but I still love the movie, hahaha! who doesn't love LAUTNER? JACOB TEAM! :p). Reason I brought them because I haven't finished yet! My mom bought these all for me when I was busyyyy with my final exam in High School. Aha! Got caught! For many times, a slow readerrrr... even I haven't remove the plastic cover on Breaking Dawn yet, it still have the price label behind LOL pardon me...

So, wish me luck to finish all that book in this year. Yeah, maybe this is one of my goal on this year, khkhkh. Try to loveee to read books, people. Reading is not a criminal, but it's like a drug, haha!

Heyyyyyy I'm fallin' in love with this cute little woman! She's Elle Fanning, according to her last name, yes she is Dakota Fanning's younger sister. I knew Dakota since I found her in one of a local magazine, she was just 8 or 10 y.o that time. And I knew El (is a pronounciation of Elle) with the same way and same magazine, hahaha! ((:

Gnomeo & Juliet

First, I haven't greet you all a Happy Valentine's day 2 days ago, so Happy Belated Valentine's Day for who celebrated it, maybe with your boyfriend, family, and friends (:
I didn't do nothing on 14 feb, I have made some chocolates, but in the end, they are all eaten by my brother and dad, hahaha! I failed to make it this time, I bought wrong chocolate bars and when I tried to melt it, it was failed ): but I still prepared some for my boyfriend. I just gave him yesterday, the chocolates tastes good but it's too sweet for him. I was so happy I can give him my homemade chocolate on our first valentine (:

Anyway, I should to watch this movie last night. But sadly the cinema haven't have this movie yet, I want to watch this so badddd! I've watch the trailer and I think this movie is CUTE!
It's a animation movie based on classic story "Romeo And Juliet" by William Shakespeare. Who doesn't know Romeo and Juliet? Even Chinese legend story has different version of romeo and juliete called, "梁山伯与祝英台" (read: Liang ShanBo yi Zhu YingTai) or people call them as a "Butterfly Lovers". I won't tell anything about the history here, but Gnomeo and Juliet has a different vibe for this movie. Gnomeo and Juliet features two garden gnomes in forbidden love. The couple looks to find lasting happiness and avoid tragedy as they are caught in the middle of a feud between blue and red-hatted garden gnomes. (via: WikiPedia).

Gnomeo Montague (James McAvoy) is a blue gnome and the son of the blue gnome leader. He at first wants to get even with his rival, Tybalt, in the red garden for cheating in a race of lawn mowers , but his enmity towards the red garden (with whom the blue gnomes are enemies) fades when he falls in love with a red gnome, Juliet. He is strong-willed, but caring and brave. In the end, he and Juliet are married.

Juliet Capulet (Emily Blunt) a red gnome and one of the main protagonists. She is the daughter of the leader of the red gnomes. At first, she tries to outstrip the blue gnomes by getting a flower on top of a greenhouse, but after falling in love with the blue gnome Gnomeo, she, like Gnomeo, is no longer contemptuous towards the blues. In the end, they are married. She tends to be stubborn and against being delicate, but can really care about her friends and tend to be a hopeless romantic.

Elton John is one of the artist in this movie soundtrack. I'm so inspired by him since I watched "Lion King" when I was kid. He's a great composer, singer and pianist. And surprisingly, he has a duet with Lady Gaga! I'm so curious :D

Well, I was thought I can enjoy this movie on Valentine's day, and I didnt have any chance, hahaha! I guess I have to find a day to watch this movie, really. I am so into romeo and juliet story. Sorry being cheesy, but yeah this is me (;

Evil Winter

I'm not feeling wellllllllllllll these days.

There's always something not-good happens to me. First, Guangzhou weather is really really really not GOOD. Fyi, I have bad health contidion in cold weather, am so easily have a cold even in a room with air conditioner. I have a thing calls... (allergy?) since I was a kid. And there are so many freckle on my foot because the bad weather! I'm so thankful to someone who invented a magic thing (and my BESTFRIEND ever in winter season!) calls HEATER! I'm always sitting ahead of the heater to get warmed - my daily routine before go to bed. So this is the reason why I hate being in a country which have four seasons (sigh).

Second, I can't sleep well at night because the bad weather (again). I sleep around 1-2 AM ALWAYS in every night in this week. Not just that, I'm always sneezing all the night, having a bad bad dream (yaah I dreamed about a PSYCHO comes to my house every night want to kill my little brother. Its a bad dream or what do you think?) It always scared me every time I want to sleep at night, I've shared this with my dad and boyfriend. My boyfriend borrowed me his mp3 with worships songs in it so I can sleep well, my dad said the prayer always works, so I pray to God and I feel as though He is with me every night and HE REALLY DOES. (thanks dear God!).

Last, as I mentioned before, I have my final exams for this two weeks. Seven exams passed already and also got the scores for my exams. Sadly, I got not-really-good score in one of my lesson. I studied hard, but why couldn't get my best score? Well, there're two more exams in Friday and next Tuesday, I will study MORE harder to get the best score!

Sorry for the lame English, people. I spent more than 40 minutes to finish this post LOL. I tried my best already and I swear I have bad grammatical. I made a practice of writing in English, since I got most of my readers writes in English in their blog. Oh, I want to show you something. Here:

New Year's Letter

I missed out my 1st January 2011 post, I spent my last 2010 days with my fellas on new year last weekend, we did some mini-party and also had a fellowship at church, we had some good time. I didn't take some good photos *sadly I know ):* anyway.
Well, I haven't say any new year greet to all of you, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!
Let's start the new year with the new beginning. All the best for you, peeps (:

People always do some "new year resolution" in this time, I'm a little hesistant to call mine as a resolutions, since I wrote some goals, wishes and things to do in 2011.
For me, 2010 is favorite year but it's also become a hardest year to say goodbye.
Let's check the list what I've done and which one is ~~failed~~ or maybe I shud say I haven't do it WELL in 2010 (:

Have good grades for college. (STUDY HARDER!)
Have a HONGKONG trip. I got my chance to Hongkong actually, but something happened then I lost my Hongkong ):
Have a new Canon DSLR. Still saving my money to get it!
~~Have a closer relationship with dear God~~. I did it (: but sometimes I skipped my morning-meditation especially when winter season comes. Its so hard to get up early, idk why -.-
~~Have a new blog site~~. Yeah, you read it now :D
~~Have a Online Shop page~~. Yes I have it on Facebook page, and my mom manages it.
~~Play piano/keyboard for Sunday Service at church~~. Sunday, 11 July 2010 was my first premiere! hahaha :D
~~Have a wor~~k experience. err... I shopped a lots for my online shop stuffs and packed them all to Indonesia, is that a work experience?
~~Have new friends~~. Bunch of new friends around me :D
~~Have a boyfriend~~. 24 June 2010, tehee (:

and now this is the letter for future me in 2011!

2010 was a great year for you. You had done some good things and some bad things in 2010. And now 2011 is here, it came for you to begin a new life! In 2011, you have to make your parents proud of you, DON'T EVER TRY TO LET THEM DOWN AGAIN! You have to get your first job soon, maybe a piano teacher? or anything you can do and it earns money. After you get the money, you save it, try to defray yourself without beg your parents for money again, and you can buy yourself good clothes, a pair of pretty shoes, trip to Hongkong and a beautiful Canon DSLR! You will have more new-good-friends and you still with your dearest boyfriend and celebrate 1st year anniversary with him in 2011 at Guangzhou of course! The other important thing is you still do your meditation every morning before class and do some PW in your room when your roomates not at home, khkh. STOP EATING TOO MUCH, take more exercises, STUDY HARDER and get good grades and stop being egoist! When you read this in the end of 2011, you will see what have you achieved.

Eliminating The Limits

Ingat gue pernah membahas tentang sebuah wawancara yang akan gue lakukan untuk blog post gue di sini?

Gue benar-benar berusaha untuk mengadakan wawancara ini. Gue mengirimkan e-mail ke seseorang untuk menanyakan apakah dia bersedia untuk diwawancara dan hasil wawancara akan di-post di blog ini. Setelah menunggu seminggu, dia membalas e-mail gue tepat di hari natal tanggal 25 Desember kemarin. Gue benar-benar excited saat baca balasan e-mailnya yang menyatakan dia bersedia untuk diwawancara. Dia minta daftar pertanyaan wawancara dikirim ke dia dan dia akan menjawab semua pertanyaannya. Dua hari kemudian, gue menerima jawaban atas pertanyaan wawancara yang sudah diberikan dan HARI INI, gue akan mem-posting hasil wawancara yang sudah gue lakukan. Menjelang penutupan akhir tahun 2010, ini merupakan salah satu hal yang bisa gue lakukan untuk blog tercinta ini :D

PS: Gue melakukan wawancara ini dalam Bahasa Indonesia, gue nggak ada waktu untuk meng-translate lagi, maaf ya!

Gue sering mendapatkan pertanyaan, "Siapa sih role model kamu?"

Selain keluarga, sahabat-sahabat terdekat, tentu gue punya role model lagi yang lain.

Gue pernah membahas tentang role model di blog gue yang lama, di situ gue menyebutkan nama role model gue, dia adalah Alanda Kariza.

Nggak banyak yang tahu siapa dia, tapi kalau kalian suka membaca buku/novel, kalian pasti mengenali namanya. Alanda nggak cuman seorang penulis novel biasa, menurut gue dia adalah salah satu contoh anak muda Indonesia yang berbakat dan patut dibanggakan.

Mahasiswa jurusan International Business di BINUS International University, Jakarta.

2. Apa sih yang sering kamu lakukan kalau lagi waktu senggang? Lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu senggang sendirian, sama keluarga atau teman-teman?

Ngobrol dengan orang-orang terdekat, biasanya sambil makan. Keluarga, pacar, atau beberapa teman baik sejak SMP.

3. Waktu kecil, kamu pasti pernah ditanya soal cita-cita, apakah cita-cita kamu kecil dulu dengan saat ini sama? Apakah sudah tercapai?

Dari kecil punya cita-cita kuliah di jurusan Hukum. Sayangnya belum tercapai. Tapi lambat laun cita-cita berubah/berkembang kok. Saya senang dengan apa yang saya jalani saat ini.

(well, harusnya gue dan kita semua punya pikirian yang sama, senang menjalani apa yang dijalani saat ini!)

4. Ceritain dikit dong pengalaman kamu selama 5 minggu di US dalam menjalani Summer Course, apa aja yang kamu dapetin di sana? :D

Pengalaman, pelajaran, teman baru, dan pengetahuan mengenai budaya di Amerika Serikat khususnya.

5. Apakah kamu masih aktif menjadi volunteer untuk kegiatan-kegiatan sosial? terakhir yang aku tahu, kamu menjadi volunteer untuk "Little League Asia Pasific Baseball Tournament 2009" yah? Gimana rasanya menjadi seorang volunteer?

Menyenangkan. Acara itu bukan kegiatan sosial, tapi turnamen olahraga, jadi saya tidak hitung sebagai "menjadi sukarelawan". Tapi, sejauh ini saya menjalani kegiatan saya secara "sukarela" kok, termasuk di Indonesian Youth Conference lalu.

6. Selain nulis, passion-nya Alanda apalagi sih?
Hmmm, apa ya. Yang berani saya beri label "passion" baru menulis aja sih, karena nggak pernah bosan dan nggak pernah lelah.

Belum ada rencana. Sedang menulis buku non-fiksi. Semoga bisa rilis pertengahan 2011. Amin.

We usually do our Saturday Youth Service at church, but special today we are movinggggg to a place calls "Bai Yun Mountain 白云山", which is people in Guangzhou always say that this is the very-must-visit-place in Guangzhou. Anyway, we'll have an outing there! :D

Ready For Christmas?

It's 12:09 AM here and I'm in the middle of writing my speech... no no no, it's not a speech for a contest or something, it's for my final test tomorrow morning! Yeah, my bad... I shouldn't prepare this thing at the last minutes like this. It's more better I go to my bed and have a 'save trip' to Dream Island right now. I just came back from a Christmas Little-House-Party at my friend's home. Lots of laugh, lots of Christmas presents, lots of DSLR(s) *okay, just three of them... I was playing around with one of it and it made me drooling all night! SANTA BABY~ my christmas gift, pleaseee? ><* and the most important things, lots of GOOD FOOD! My friend's Mom cooked delicious Indonesian Dishes for our dinner! Sounds great, huh? :D
I'm so rarely having a christmas party like today in my hometown... I'm so quite happy with it (:

Well, just a little midnight-report from me, must go back with my speech!

Hot Times

Akhirnya gue memutuskan untuk kembali posting hari ini. Sebenarnya udah dari minggu kemarin pengen posting, cuman mikirin aja apa yang baik untuk ditulis di sini. Kadang gue ngerasa kalau nulis yang nggak penting, blog ini lama kelamaan akan menjadi personal diary.
But, it wouldn't be kok, hehe.

Kemarin gue baca entry-nya Alanda Kariza yang ini, dia menulis apa saja kesibukan yang dia lakukan belakangan ini. Di akhir post, dia bilang gini, "So, what about you, guys? What has been happening lately?" Gue akan menjawab pertanyaan itu di posting hari ini (:

Belakangan ini gue sibuk menyelesaikan tanggung jawab sebagai Volunteer Asian Para Games. Yes, tugas gue sebagai volunteer belum selesai. Gue nggak bakal jabarin apa aja yang gue lakukan di sini (maybe I'll make a post about volunteer later after I finish my job). Overall sih, kerjaan gue kebanyakan di dalam ruangan kantor gitu, kalau ada conference press aja baru sibuk, karena gue memang bertanggung jawab di bagian itu. Today is my second-day work, it still have one day more and I'm free! I'm gonna having my final exams soon, even I take my textbook to office, khkh.

*I want to post up some photos that taken by my dear webcam, but what happened with those uploader browser? They're not working at all. I will post them later maybe ): HERE I GO!

First, I'm not supposed to be here right now, there will be a test tomorrow but I don't have any idea to read the text book,tehee. So, I decided to do a random post part three tonight!

Lucky me, I finished my class today at 10.00 AM and I went to 电脑城 (Dian Nao Cheng, "Computer Town" if you translated to english :p); a place that sells anything about computers (mostly), cellphones, cameras, etc, with my boyfriend. He planned to buy a new mp3. We walked from one buildings to another buildings, compared the prices and finally... he got one!
I'm also checking the dslr (which I WISH to have it!) prices, THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE!
Shud I give up for that thing? ughh ):
My bf smiled and said "kamu banget, sih..." when I tried one of Canon's EOS series and he took one of their brochure for me after home, haha. Well... he knows I want it so bad |:

2. One of Terrant Books (Indonesian Book Publisher) staff, Kak Oktavia Erdyan sent me an email today. She said there's a short story contest and asked me for join it. There're three topics I can choose for my essay, global warming, HIV/AIDS and violence against women, the contest deadline is in 9 Dec means next week. Another chance for me to begin my writing passion again, maybe? (:

3. It's Jen from Jennifhsieh 20th birthday today! Her best roomate did a birthday post on her blog. How sweet is that? Make a birthday post for your friend on her birthday? haha! sweet idea.

The Interview

Talking about blogging, I can say I’m not a newbie as a blogger. I’ve been blogging since 2007 , “Jane From The Blog” is not my first one. I’ve told in the first entry that I had an old blog, which is I’d closed it permanently now and start blogging seriously, I never share privacy things again here (:

Well, if you do blog, you will have some readers or followers and if you blog nicely, they will love your blog and being a faithful reader. You have to keep them interested in your blog, maybe you can do some blog giveaways (fashion blogger often do this!), vlog (video blog) or maybe share some tutorials about something you good in it (such as DIY, tutorial about Photoshop, etc).

So, what have I done as a blogger for 3 years?

The answer is, nothing.

Really, I didn’t write something “wow” in my blog, I just wrote whatever I want to and I think it should be shared to my blog readers. I don’t blog because I want to be popular and reach a number of followers to drop me a comment. I’m so thankful for them for visiting and willing to follow my blog. It is more fun when you blog something that you’re passionate about than you blog because you want to be popular and maybe someday you’re gonna not continuing to blog because you think “I can’t be popular when I blog!” (got it?)

But, I think I should start something new for my blog, I’m thinking about something that I never do before. I’ve read some bloggers interview with another blogger too, like Michelle Koesnadi from Glisters And Blisters did her first interview with Lexy from Quirky Explosion, you can check it here.

It will be great if I try to interview somebody that I admire to? (; I’m preparing all the stuffs that I need to do my first interview! Awww, I’m so exciting about this! Just wait for my next interview post, peeps!

I Am A "LUCKY" Volunteer!

I’ve mentioned before on the previous post that I’m becoming a volunteer for Asian Games, right?
And now, I will share something great that I got today on the 2nd day work! :D

Gue benar-benar merasa puas banget sama hari ini. Walaupun semalam gue tidur malam sehingga mengakibatkan pagi ini gue bangun agak siang (dan membuat gue sedikit khawatir kalau hari ini gue bakal capek kerja 12jam karenanya), tapi ternyata gue masih SEGAR sampai detik ini mengetik di depan laptop. Apa yang membuat hari ini terasa begitu spesial?

Hari ini gue dan Sastika menjadi “stalker-dadakan” selama jam kerja kami sebagai volunteer.
Tujuan utama kita mau stalk atlet bulutangkis Korea, Lee Yong Dae dan atlet-atlet bulutangkis dari Indonesia. Sebelum jam tugas, kami berdua nongkrong di depan stadium bulutangkis sambil berharap ada atlet yang lalu-lalang dan kami akan langsung “menyerang” minta foto bareng.
Beberapa atlet Indonesia memang lewat, tapi sayangnya... kami NGGAK TAHU siapa mereka! Kami berdua bukan pecinta bulutangkis. Gue sendiri hanya sekedar tahu, tapi nggak begitu hafal wajah-wajah mereka. At least, gue kenal wajah Taufik Hidayat, Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Liliyana Natsir, Greysia Poli, Vita Marissa... tapi atlet yang tadi kami lihat gue benar-benar nggak kenal. Akhirnya, dengan menyesal dan tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa, kami diam diri sejenak.

Beberapa menit kemudian, entah kenapa gue pengen ke McDonald's yang ada di dalam gedung Sport Center, kebetulan Sastika juga mau ke WC, jadilah kami ke sana dan di sinilah hal yang kami nggak duga terjadi.

Di dalam ramai banget dipenuhi oleh beberapa volunteer dan staff AG, di antaranya juga ada atlet bersama tim dan pelatih mereka juga sedang menikmati makan siang. Karena bingung banyak orang, kami berdua jadi linglung persis anak hilang. Waktu gue lagi melihat ke arah pintu masuk, tiba-tiba Sastika mencengkram tangan gue lumayan kenceng sambil ngomong, “CHE, ITU SUTIYOSO!” Gue langsung mengalihkan pandangan ke arah bapak-bapak yang-gue-kira-dimaksud-Sastika-adalah-Bapak Sutiyoso (padahal dia menunjuk orang lain!). Gue sedikit bingung dan ragu... Sutiyoso? Kok dia pakai jaket oranye bertulisan “SINGAPORE” di belakang punggungnya? Nggak mungkin, deh. Sastika sendiri masih heboh, yakin kalau itu Sutiyoso dan langsung ngajak gue untuk minta foto bareng. Tapi tunggu dulu... gue masih ragu... Sutiyoso? Yang bener aja?

Gue: “masa, sih? Kok mereka pake baju Singapore gitu?”
Sastika: “aduuuh... bukan yang ituuuu, yg lagi makan di pojok itu!”

Gue menengok ke arah yang ditunjuk Sastika, gue langsung mengenali siapa Bapak itu dan beliau BUKAN Sutiyoso! Gue juga ikutan lupa siapa nama beliau, padahal muka dia mirip banget sama salah satu saudara gue. Abis itu Sastika agak menepi ke arah tembok dan mulai agak ragu juga, “eh, Sutiyoso apa Agum Gumelar, ya?”

NAH!
Iya! Agum Gumelar! Beliau adalah Bapak Agum Gumelar!

Tiba-tiba gue jadi over-excited begitu sadar kalau beliau adalah Agum Gumelar.
Beliau lagi asyik makan bareng rekan-rekannya. Gue dan Sastika berusaha keras mikirin gimana cara ngajak Beliau untuk foto bareng, karena pasti sungkan banget, kan minta foto sama pejabat negara? Tapi kapan lagi?? Di Indonesia aja nggak bisa ketemu, jauh-jauh sampai Guangzhou baru ketemu, di McDonald's pula!
Setelah bolak-balik nunggu Beliau selesai makan, akhirnya Beliau selesai juga dan beranjak keluar pintu. Sastika langsung nekad menghampiri Beliau pas keluar sambil ngomong, “maaf, Pak... boleh foto bareng?” tanpa diduga, Beliau langsung mengiyakan ajakan Sastika dengan antusias, “ohhh... boleh-boleh...” Lalu, Beliau langsung menjabat tangan kami dan menanyakan nama kami dan di mana kami bertugas sebagai volunteer, setelah itu, gue dan Sastika langsung semangat atur posisi, keluarin kamera (walaupun modal kamera hape doang, setidaknya ada kamera, deh!), siap untuk foto bareng Bapak Agum Gumelar.
Untung banget Beliau dan teman-teman ditemani oleh salah satu volunteer yang ternyata kenalan senior dari kampus kami, dia langsung inisiatif untuk fotoin kami bertiga.

Kata salah satu rekan Beliau bilang cahayanya kurang bagus, gue pake topi jadi muka gue nggak keliatan, jadi disuruh foto ulang, hahaha! Jadilah foto kedua ini!

Selesai sesi foto bareng, salah satu rekan Beliau becandain kami, “abis ini pulang langsung upload deh di Facebook.” Kami langsung ketawa. Karena sepertinya mereka mau nonton pertandingan bulutangkis, kami langsung berpamitan. Dengan sopan kami berpamitan dan bilang terima kasih sama Beliau dan teman-temannya, nggak lupa sama senior kami, dan dengan ramah mereka pun membalas pamitan kami.
And you can guess what we were doing after they left us... we’re screaming out and can’t stop smiling! Bahkan rasa excited itu masih tersisa sampai saat ini!
What a day! Nggak foto bareng sama atlet, tapi bisa foto bareng pejabat negara jauh lebih menyenangkan dan membanggakan!

Kalau Sudah Besar Mau Jadi Apa?

Hari Sabtu yang lalu, seperti biasa gue menghadiri Youth Service gereja kami di sini.
Sebelumnya gue kira nggak bakal bisa datang, soalnya gue dapet shift volunteer di hari itu dari pagi sampai malam (what volunteer? yea, I'm a Volunteer for Asian Games 2010, Guangzhou this year! how cool is that? :D). Tapi ternyata, si sahabat, Sastika, harus pulang karena nggak enak badan dan gue disuruh ketua Volunteer untuk pulang menemani dia.
She's fine now, the good thing is I could attend the Youth service.
Kebetulan hari itu tema ibadah adalah tema yang gue usulkan saat rapat pengerja Youth bulan lalu untuk minggu kedua di bulan ini. Tema ini gue dapat gara-gara keinget sang adik pernah pasang status begini di Facebook: "kalau sudah besar mau jadi apa ya?"
So, tema ibadah hari itu sama dengan status si adik, "Kalau Sudah Besar Mau Jadi Apa?"

Jujur, gue senang banget bisa ikut ibadah ini, khotbah yang disampaikan benar-benar sesuai apa yang gue mau. Padahal, gue nggak sempat ngomong langsung sama Ci Lidya untuk poin-poin yang harus disampaikan dalam isi khotbah, ternyata dia bisa membaca pikiranku!
Jadi hari itu, jemaat dibagikan kertas dan pulpen (termasuk kami para pengerja), kami disuruh mengisi jawaban atas 3 pertanyaan di bawah ini:

1. Kamu mau menjadi apa di 10 tahun yang akan datang?
2. Mengapa kamu mau menjadi seperti itu?
3. Apa yang kamu lakukan untuk menjadi seperti itu?

Semua sibuk nulis jawaban masing-masing, ada yang serius menulis, ada juga yang sibuk tanya kiri-kanan "mau jadi apa gue?" lah, masa depan kamu toh kok tanya orang, dek?
ada juga yang mikir lamaaaaaa dulu, baru sibuk sama penanya. Gue sendiri langsung menulis apa yang gue inginkan di 10 tahun mendatang. Be honest, cita-cita gue banyak *cuman tiga sih, LOL*, tapi yang paling gue inginkan untuk jadi profesi gue adalah PIANIST.
Mengapa? Karena gue suka banget sama piano dan gue sudah menekuni di bidang itu selama belasan tahun. Gue nggak pengen jadi pianis yang muluk-muluk sih, nggak pengen bener-bener jadi pianis yang "wah", tapi bisa ikutan konser musik atau bahkan menggelar solo concert itu adalah cita-cita setelah menjad pianis! Apa yang gue lakukan, les bertahun-tahun!
Yea yea, I've told you many many times even in my old blog, that I'm still NOT graduating from my piano course. Makanya sekarang gue bela-belain ngeles di negeri seberang ini demi mendapatkan secarik ijazah resmi internasional. Bayar harga memang, bayar waktu, bayar uang les yang ajubile mahalnya, tapi gue percaya apa yang gue "bayar" itu nggak akan jadi sesuatu yang sia-sia KALAU gue RAJIN! Semuanya butuh kerajinan, kalau nggak rajin, kamu bisa apa? Iya nggak?

Nah, kembali ke isi khotbah. Setelah kami menulis jawaban kamu, kertas-kertas dikumpulkan dan dibacakan di depan. Tenang saja, nama kalian nggak dibacain kok, jadi cukup kalian, orang yang bacain kertas kamu (saya yang baca punya kamu dan rahasia aman di tangan saya!), Ci Lidya dan Tuhan yang tau, hehe.
Lucu-lucu, sih jawaban dari teman-teman, ada yang sama, tapi alasan dan usaha mereka berbeda-beda. Seneng mengetahui kalau ternyata teman-teman semua udah punya visi 10 tahun ke depan mau jadi apa. Seperti yang udah Ci Lidya sampaikan, apa yang kamu cita-citakan, apa yang kamu mimpikan, apa yang kamu inginkan, capailah semuanya itu!
Karena Tuhan sendiri sudah memberikan tanda-tanda profesi apa yang kira-kira bisa kita kerjakan nanti melewati hobi kita, talenta kita, dll. Kayak gue tadi aja, gue hobi main piano dan memang talenta gue di situ, mungkin kalian hobi masak? kalian bisa jadi chef, atau mungkin jadi dokter? bisa aja, kok, semuanya bisa nggak ada yang nggak bisa... KALAU...
kalian mau usaha dan terus berdoa sama Tuhan apakah memang rencana Tuhan mau kasih kita pekerjaan itu (:

So, moral of the entry post today is, capailah apa yang menjadi impian kalian.
Mimpi di siang bolong beda jauh loh sama impian, hehe.
Cari deh bakat kamu di mana, kamu pasti bakal seneng kalau suatu saat nanti kamu dibayar untuk hobi yang kamu lakukan (baca: pekerjaan impian kamu!).

Kesan buat Si Sembilan Belas?
Gue hampir nggak percaya kalau umur gue saat ini sudah sembilan belas. umur yang udah di menuju ambang pintu kepala dua. Bahasa lebay menurut gue, masa remajaku akan segera hilang, deh. Semalem di chat gue ngomong kayak gitu ke salah satu teman, dia bilang, makin tua sih pasti, cuman setiap umur pasti ada kesenangannya sendiri, jadi nggak perlu sedih makin tua nggak bisa senang-senang. Gue pikir, apa yang dia bilang ada benernya juga, sih. Lagipula gue juga nggak mungkin selamanya tujuh belas atau delapan belas, kan? (;

Harapan buat Si Sembilan Belas?
Harapan, yah? Sama kayak wishes kan, yah?
Emm... jujur, wishes gue sama kayak tahun lalu, nggak berubah, hahaha!
Masih sekitar soal keluarga, diri sendiri dan prestasi.
Yang pasti, makin tua, makin dewasa aja, deh.
Kalau kata si Bunda, gue udah bukan anak kecil lagi yang masih harus bergantung sama orang tua. Bukan bearti sekarang gue bener-bener udah nggak bergantung sama orang tua gue, ya. Cuman maksud beliau, gue harus udah bisa cari peluang job sendiri, lah sekarang. Minimal gue punya pengalaman kerja sebelum gue lulus kuliah nanti. Mumpung gue sekarang ada di negeri seberang, nggak ada salahnya juga buat cari tahu soal pekerjaan. Apalagi di sini channel-nya luas banget!
Yahh... Gue nggak berani banyak berharap, sih...

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful little princess named Princess Kina. She was a very cheerful and full of joy little princess. She lived in a beautiful palace in a private island with her family. But one day, she had to move to another island and a new palace with her family because their own island was going to be attacked by another lame kingdom. So then they moved to a new and a bigger island, called island J.

Princess Kina who used to be a cheerful little girl changed into a not-talk-so-much type of princess. She felt like she did not want to leave her island and her master bedroom in her ex-palace. She was so sad because she had to leave her friends on the island, the friends who always accompany her to play, sing and dance together. She was so damn sad.

Until she entered her new palace, she was first so afraid with everybody new and strange to her. Especially when she knew that her parents were no longer the king and the queen of the new palace. She realized that she had to start to know everyone knew in that new palace. So, she had no idea where and when to start.

Lucky that there was a Gala Dinner in the palace. Everyone was invited, including Princess Kina and her family. Ah, as usual Princess Kina, she couldn’t ask people first, or smile first. A very shy yet fabolous. (*puke*) .

So, she was standing near her daddy’s feet, the suddenly, “Hi! My name is Princess Jane! What is your name?” a talkative and chic little girl who claimed herself princess talked to Princess Kina. Then, Princess Kina did not answer her, she was hiding to her daddy. Princess Kina felt insecure. But that little girl did not give up. She gave her hand asking Princess Kina to shake hand with her and then maybe to ask Princess Kina to become her friend. AH! When you are in this kind of situation, your parent must be helping you. Princess Kina’s daddy said ” Kina, introduce yourself, please! She is Princess Jane, the daughter of King John and Queen June! She is a nice friend you know. Shake your hand!”

Then, they shook hand. “I am Princess Jane. What is your name? Can i be your friend?” the little girl repeated her words. “My.. my.. my name is Princess Kina. Hallo, Jane!” replied Princess Kina. Then Princess Kina’s dad said, “Princess Kina, Princess Jane is a princess also, just like you. So, therefore you still want to be called Princess Kina, you should call her Princess Jane. You got it?”. “Okay, Princess Jane.” said Princess Kina. “So, are we friends now?” asked Princess Jane.

And, it was a little story about two little princess when they first started their friendship. The time flies so fast, until these two little princesses realized that they were not “a princess”. They were just two ordinary girl who likes to call themselves “Princess”. They have grown up now. They even are not living together anymore like years before. Princess Kina still lives in Island J with her family. But, Princess Jane lives in Island C right now. Her family still lives in Island J and even still building the Kingdom with Princess Kina’s parents.

And today, actually, Princess Jane is celebrating her 19 years old born day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wah. I can’t believe i just mentioned that. Ah. I have no idea why does it so hard for me to say this. Maybe because Princess Kina told me that she was missing Princess Jane too much, like too much so much. She told me that she was so sad because she could not celebrate Princess Jane’s born day together due to the distance that seperating them. So, by this great time to talk, Princess Kina asked me to type this to Princess Jane, and also to Prince Yu (who is now in a relationship with Princess Jane.

“Dear Princess Jane, happy born day! Wah, i could not believe that you are a 19 years old princess now. Today, i woke up and read a reminder in my cell-phone saying ‘Jane is getting older today’, and i was happy to know that yet i was so sad that we could not celebrate it together. By this message, i would like to wish you happiness and i hope that you can smile each day, even in your hardest day or your heaviest weight( you need diet!). And even though it is too hard to smile, then don’t forget to remember me or your parents or your boyfriend or your Savior! I miss you too much. And to you Prince Yu, i order you to respect Princess Jane, to be humble even though you are dating the coolest Princess on earth, to love her and to take care of her and also take care of yourself because if you are not healthy then who else will take care of her, and from now on you are also my friend ! Beberapa hari yang lalu, gue berhasil mendapatkan sepatu baru ♥
Sebenarnya udah cukup lama mengidamkan sepatu baru, ada dua alasan.
Pertama, ada sepasang sepatu yang udah minta diganti. Padahal sepatu itu kesayangan gue banget dari tiga tahun yang lalu, inget banget gimana perasaan gue waktu itu pas beli |:
Sudah saatnya kamu diganti, nak.
Kedua, menyambut musim dingin!
Ha! Ini alasan buat dijadikan tameng, hahaha! Musim dingin akan datang dan saya butuh sepatu baru dong lol xP
Yang spesial dari sepatu ini, I bought it via online shop, tepatnya di vancl.com. Sebelumnya, si Sastika Taniady udah beli sepatu duluan dari sana, dan setelah gue dikasih liat website-nya ternyata mereka punya banyak cute stuffs! Pas liat sepatu ini (I will show u, SOON!), langsung jatuh cinta, hahaha!
Sebelum kehabisan (karena cuman satu model gitu), langsung gue klik "BUY", hekekek.

Turning Point

Wow, it has been a week from the last post, sorry for not having updated my blog :p

Tinggal dua hari lagi gue bakal meninggalkan Jakarta (lagi) beserta 'isinya', keluarga, teman, mall, macetnya, dll dan nggak tau kapan bisa pulang lagi, (nyokap udah kasih ultimatum kalau gue udah mau SEMBILAN BELAS TAHUN dan saatnya untuk memikirkan pekerjaan yang bisa dilakukan, bukan mikirin kapan gue bisa Jakarta lagi). She's right, I'm growing up!
Saatnya fokus untuk ke depan, bukan fokus main-main lagi (:

Anyway, back to topic, judul post hari ini berhubungan dengan konser musik klasik yang gue tonton semalam. Konser musik yang diadakan sekolah musik "VIVACE" di gedung Goethe Haus Institute Jakarta, memilih tema "TURNING POINT" untuk konser kali ini. Gue agak lupa pemahaman sebenarnya tentang tema ini, nggak lupa sih, cuman gimana menjelaskannya secara detail gue nggak inget.
Intinya, semua lagu yang dibawakan para musisi profesional ada arti yang personal dan tetep berhubungan sama tema, titik balik. Dan kembali ke tujuan awal, mereka memainkan musik yang dapat dinikmati.

IT WAS A GREAT CONCERT!!!

Beneran deh, gue sampai "nyampah" di time-line Twitter semalem nge-report soal konser ini.

Ini pertama kalinya gue nonton konser kayak gini and I was soooo AMAZED!

Apalagi lihat guru piano sendiri (adalah sepupu gue, namanya Rhesa, you can find him at the musician list) dan merangkap sebagai kepala sekolah musik Vivace ini menampilkan sebuah performance yang mengundang penonton langsung jatuh cinta pada pandangan pertama sama dia. As a cousin, of course I'm so proud of him! Hey, he was my piano teacher for 5 years!

Gue juga tersanjung juga sama permainan duetnya Erico Felix dan Fransisca Kurniawan.
Fyi, Erico adalah guru piano gue selama sebulan di Jakarta, HE'S A GREAT PIANIST!
And Fransisca is his girlfriend, they had a duet performance that night, sweet thing (:

Erico juga memainkan lagu karangannya sendiri yang berjudul "Air Menjadi Anggur", what could I say, this is a NICE song. Personal banget, deh arti lagunya.
And lucky me, gue dapet bocoran cerita di balik lagu ini dari komposernya sendiri (;

Erico dapet inspirasi membuat lagu ini ketika dia masih studi di Beijing, China.
Waktu itu dia berhasil menyewa sebuah grand piano di salah satu tempat musik di sana.
Dia bilang tempat itu jadi inspirasi dia buat bikin lagu dan dia juga punya cerita sendiri tentunya sama Tuhan, taraaaa... terciptalah lagu ini :D *kalau kalian tau cerita tentang "Air Menjadi Anggur", mungkin kalian bisa menebak kira-kira pengalaman apa yang dialami Erico bersama Tuhan (:*

Di malam yang sama, untuk pertama kalinya gue melihat permainan harpa secara LIVE.

Suara harpa itu cantik banget! Feels like heaven~

The best part is, aransemen gabungan dari flute (Eropa), tabla (India) dan 古筝GuZheng (China). Gue bener-bener nggak menyangka ketiga alat musik ini kalau digabungkan menjadi satu, bisa menghasilkan lagu yang indah! Gue sampai berpikiran untuk belajar GuZheng ketika kembali ke Guangzhou :p

Well, cukup sampai di sini review konser musiknya.

It's too bad I didnt get any pictures last night, but I will look for it, deh!

Manusia itu nggak pernah merasa puas, setuju?
Skala kepuasan manusia itu nggak pernah ada abisnya, dikasih ini bilangnya nggak cukup, dikasih yang itu maunya lebih, itulah kita, manusia.
Tapi nggak buat kita sebagai anak-anaknya Daddy, I mean... our Jesus Christ :D
Daripada kita ngeluh nggak puas sama ini-itu, lebih baik kita mencoba untuk mengucap syukur aja deh sama setiap berkat yang kita terima. Berkat nggak harus selalu yang 'wah' kok, dari hal sekecil apapun kita harus mengucap syukur. Bangun pagi masih bisa buka mata, masih bisa merasakan detak jantung, masih bisa merasakan hangatnya sinar matahari, kita juga masih bisa bilang, "Thanks God for another good day!".

Pokoknya kreatif!

Akhir-akhir ini gue mendapati banyak orang yang makin kreatif, entah kreatif dalam bekerja, belajar, dll (kreatif bisa di bidang apa aja kan, yah?) Ngomongin soal kreatif jadi inget bukunya Yoris Sebastia n yang berjudul "Oh My Goodness: Buku Pintar Seorang Creative Junkies".
Belum sempet beli bukunya, tapi udah sempet 'numpang' baca di rak bagian NEW RELEASE di toko buku favorit, Gramedia. Dari covernya udah keliatan banget kalau ini emang buku "panduan" untuk kalian yang kreatif supaya lebih kreatif lagi. Baca beberapa halaman, dan dalam waktu sebentar langsung jatuh cinta sama yang namanya Yoris Sebastian, he is a really creative person! Sebelumnya sih udah tau siapa itu Yoris Sebastian, gara-gara baca salah satu entry kreatifnya Alanda Kariza. Yang pasti hari ini bukan mau ngomongin siapa itu Yoris Sebastian dan bukunya, tapi tetep kembali ke judul mau ngomong soal kreatif.

Menurut kalian sendiri kreatif itu apa, yah?
Kalo menurut Mr. Wikipedia,

Kreativitas adalah proses mental yang melibatkan pemunculan gagasan atau konsep baru, atau hubungan baru antara gagasan dan konsep yang sudah ada.

Dari sudut pandang keilmuan, hasil dari pemikiran kreatif (kadang disebut pemikiran divergen) biasanya dianggap memiliki keaslian dan kepantasan. Sebagai alternatif, konsepsi sehari-hari dari kreativitas adalah tindakan membuat sesuatu yang baru.

Dan kalo kreatif versi gue, menghasilkan sesuatu yang baru dan yang orisinil.

Kebanyakan orang (termasuk gue) suka berpikir nggak semua orang bisa kreatif dan pemikiran itu salah besar. Nyatanya, setiap orang itu pasti kreatif, Creator kita aja (baca: Amazing God :D) super kreatif, kita pasti ada turunan kreatif dari Dia, masalahnya sekarang kita mau ngembangin kekreatifannya itu atau tidak.

Dulu pas SMA, gue punya seorang teman, dia itu kreatif banget. Jadi kalau kita butuh apa, pasti yang dicari pertama itu dia. Misalnya mau ada prom, dia yang pikirin tema acara, isi acaranya kayak apa, kostum, dkk. Teman-teman yang lain cuman jadi sesi sibuk bantuin untuk menjalankan ide kreatifnya dia. Kalau yang lain mau sumbang kekreatifan masing-masing, pasti acara prom jadi lebih oke lagi dibandingkan dengan hasil kreatif seorang saja.
Nah, kembali lagi ke masalah yang di atas, kita mau apa nggak ngembangin kreatif yang kita punya?

Gue bukan pakar kreatif, gue juga masih harus banyak belajar untuk menjadi lebih kreatif lagi.
Gue di sini cuman pengen bilang, mau jadi kreatif itu nggak susah, hanya menjawab "MAU" untuk ngembangin diri sendiri, kalian udah sukses menjadi seorang kreatif. Kalau kalian mau nabung 10ribu per minggu dalam satu tahun bisa dapet BlackBerry udah kreatif kok (itu kalau kalian mau nunggu selama setahun sih :p). Yang pasti kreatif itu bisa ngapain aja, nggak ada batasannya, nggak ada syaratnya. Selamat berkreatif! :D

Masih soal kreatif, mau share beberapa foto hasil anak-anak kreatif kemarin, haha!
Christika, Stepfanie, Monique kemarin datang berkunjung ke rumah, si Monique bawa Nikon-nya untuk sesi pemotretan. Yang namanya udah bawa Nikon, udah pasti nggak bisa foto di satu spot aja, jadilah kita move ke komplek belakang rumah untuk sesi pemotretan.
Anyway, kemarin juga untuk pertama kalinya gue bereksperimen dengan si Nikon. Biasanya gue nggak pernah pegang Nikon, selalu pegang Cano n punyanya si Jessica, pusiiiiiing banget pake Nikon, beda soalnya sama Canon. Kemarin juga gue bener-bener memperdalam lagi ilmu fotografi, gue diajarin sama Tika dan Monique tentang beberapa hal soal fotografi, gue langsung praktek di lapangan, dasar kalian anak desain dan jurnalistik! Terima kasih ya untuk ilmunya :D

Setiap dari kita pasti punya apa yang namanya pekerjaan impian (kalau nggak punya, ayo bermimpi!).
Gue pernah menulis di buku harian pribadi tentang gambaran diri gue lima tahun yang akan datang, dimana Jane sudah berumur 24 tahun, gelar S1 sudah di tangan, pekerjaan mapan dan sukses.
Menjadi penulis terkenal atau mungkin menjadi guru piano itulah yang gue inginkan di lima tahun mendatang.

Ini ditulis bukan untuk ajang nyombongin diri, tp percaya deh.. setelah kalian nulis daftar di bawah ini, kalian ngerasa beda dan bangga sama diri sendiri (;

I am an amazing person because:

1. Gue pendengar yang baik.Gue termasuk pendengar yang baik kalo lagi ada yang curhat sama gue.

Prinsip gue sih mendengar apa yang mereka ceritakan, gue gak akan ngomong apapun sebelum mereka yang curhat minta pendapat gue. Dan gue cuman bisa ngomong apa adanya TANPA meng-judge siapapun.

Gue bukan siapa-siapa kok, as a good friend, gue hanya share apa yg pernah gue alami (:

2. Gue mudah berteman dengan orang baru.Gak tau sejak kapan gue bisa semudah itu berteman dengan orang baru.

Padahal tadinya gue orang yang cukup kaku lho, ketemu orang baru ya cuek aja.

Tapi thanks God banget gue bisa berubah jadi lebih friendly.

Karena (lagi-lagi) prinsip gue adalah 'no talk, no friends'.

Jadi sebisa mungkin gue bakal memulai pembicaraan lebih dulu dengan orang baru. Tanpa maksud untuk kepo atau bawel, tapi prinsip ini berguna kok, buktinya sekarang gue banyak teman baru ;D

3. Gue punya wawasan luas.Bukan nyombong sih, tapi gue lumayan berwawasan luas.

Sejak main di dunia perforuman, entah mengapa gue jd banyak tau informasi yg sebelumnya gue nggak tau (maen forum bukan ngomongin artis doang kok).

Terus, gue ini org yang penasaran jd banyak nanya, apalagi kalo lagi nonton bareng dengan sang adik di rumah. Apa-apa gue tanya, dikit-dikit gue tanya ampe dia ngoceh , hahaha!

Maap ya, dik!

Buat gue, cewe berwawasan luas lebih terdengar oke daripada cewe cantik yang berotak kosong :D

4. Gue mencintai keluarga dan teman-teman gue. *SANGAT*Kalo ditanya "siapa orang yg paling kamu cintai?" gue akan jawab keluarga lalu teman.

Keluarga segalanya buat gue, mereka obat penyemangat gue dan mereka yg paling ngerti gue. Begitu juga dengan teman, kalo soal teman, gue agak sensitif sih. Jujur aja gue sayang sama teman-teman gue, dari dulu sampai sekarang gue terus berusaha menjaga mereka karena mereka hadiah terindah dari Tuhan (:

5. Gue sensitif.Bukan sensian ya, tapi gue ini gampang terbawa suasana dan cepet nangis.

Tapi menurut gue itu bagus sih, artinya gue ini berperasaan dan simpatik sama keadaan.

Gue bisa ikut nangis bareng kalo kalian curhat sama gue sambil mencucurkan air mata.

Beneran, tanya deh orang-orang yang udah lama kenal gue. Ad yang curhat lewat msn/ym sambill nangis aja gue bs ikutan nangis :p

6. Gue pintar nulis.Nulis di sini maksudnya nulis karangan lah, nulis diari atau apapun pokoknya nulis.

Mungkin pengaruh dari SD gue seneng nulis dan mulai nulis diari juga, jadi kalo ada pelajaran mengarang, dengan cepat gue selesai dengan hasil 3-4 halaman, haha!

Terkecuali untuk saat ini ya, secara tugas mengarang gue harus dalam bahasa 我爱你你爱我, jadi butuh beberapa jam untuk menyelesaikan karangan :p

7. GUE KUAT MAKAN 8D

Menurut gue ini salah satu kelebihan gue lho, jarang-jarang ada cewe yang kuat makan.

Gue bisa makan sekali dlm 2-3 porsi, lain ceritanya kalo makan buffet

*so kalian yg mau makan buffet, dont forget to ask me 8D*

Apalagi sejak gue di sini, makan mulu kerjaannya, padahal nggak laper, pengen makan aja. Mumpung muat ya udah makan terus XD

Maklum sih, di perut udah bukan cacing, tapi NAGA, makanya makan molo LOL

8. Gue optimis dan nggak gampang nyerah.Gue termasuk org yang pantang mundur kalo lagi ngadepin sesuatu. Karena gue yakin sesuatu itu ada karena gue mampu menyelesaikannya. Gue lebih seneng mikirin sesuatu yg positif daripada negatif. Kalo pikiran udah negatif duluan, sesuatu itu nggak bakal selesai nantinya.

9. Gue org yang suka humor.Well yeah gue akuin gue termasuk org yang 'garing' sebenarnya kalo lagi becanda dan ngeluarin kalimat jayus. Cuman gue anggap itu sebagai personal charm gue, entah napa mereka tetep ngerasa lucu dan tertawa walaupun ya mereka tau itu GARING banget. Haha! Tapi gue suka humor kok, love to laugh! hahaha :D

10. Gue dewasa tidak pada umurnya.Yang terakhir sebagai penutup nih. Emm.. ini penilaian orang-orang yang di sekitar gue selama ini sih, bukan gue yang ngomong sendiri. Kata mereka (KATA MEREKA SIH~) gue ini dewasa tidak pada umurnya.

Eit, bukan dewasa gimana yaa... maksudnya pola pikir gue terkadang bisa melampaui apa yang dipikirkan orang seumuran gue. Mereka mikir A, gue bisa mikir B dan gue ini orangnya selalu mikir jauh dan suka menganalisis *bokap gue bangeeeet...!* jadi mungkin ngaruh juga.

Tapi saya tetep masih muda kok, hanya pikirannya aja yang nggak sesuai umur :D

Another Chance

Beberapa hari lalu, gue maen ke blog-nya Alanda Kariza lagi dan baca ulang artikelnya yang berjudul Journalistic Internships - and How To Do It!. Gue memberikan komentar di artikelnya ini, gue bilang kalau gue pernah coba melamar kerja (internship) di majalah CosmoGirl! sebagai reporter. Sempet datang ke kantor CosmoGirl! dan bertemu dengan HRD yang dipanggil dengan nama Mr. B untuk melakukan wawancara. Sedikit mengulang cerita tentang pengalaman interview pertama kali itu, it was so fun! Mr. B is a nice person, wawancara nggak begitu tegang karena beliau sangat santai saat melontarkan beberapa pertanyaan.
Tapi mungkin memang bukan kesempatan buat gue waktu itu, nggak ada panggilan untuk interview kedua kalinya dan gue dinyatakan ditolak. Gue nggak mau bilang itu gagal, karena gue berhasil melakukan wawancara pertama, bearti CV gue dilihat sama mereka (CG!) dan mereka tertarik dengan CV gue. Itu menjadi pengalaman berharga buat gue walaupun gue nggak sempet magang di sana (:

Setelah membaca ulang artikel Alanda itu, gue jadi kepikiran untuk mencoba sekali lagi melamar sebagai kontributor di majalah. Sasaran gue kali ini majalah GoGirl! Gue berencana untuk kontribusi tulisan untuk rubrik "Jalan-Jalan" di mana gue harus merekomendasikan best spot atau tempat seru di kota, negara di mana gue tinggal sekarang untuk studi. Mumpung kota Guangzhou termasuk kota yang seru untuk dikunjungi, jadi nggak ada salahnya nyumbang tulisan tentang kota ini ke majalah.

Nggak tau God's personal idea or not, seorang teman pinjemin majalah GoGirl! edisi 5th anniversary dan gue menemukan sesuatu di dalam. Ternyata GoGirl! lagi mencari kontributor untuk rubrik "Jalan-Jalan" dan mereka mencari yang tinggal (atau pernah tinggal lama) di luar negeri. Langsung deh gue secepat kilat bikin CV dan hari ini gue akan kirim by e-mail. Kali ini nggak bisa ke kantor langsung, jadi lewat e-mail aja lebih praktis. So, sekarang tinggal tunggu jawaban dari GoGirl!. Wish me luck!

Behind The Story of "Jane Reggievia"

Tadi siang tanya sama bunda tercinta, "Ma, arti namaku apa sih?"
Tiba-tiba aja kepikiran sama arti nama sendiri. Dulu pernah tanya sama PaMa, cuman lupa juga artinya apa. Yang gue tau, arti nama gue simple, hahaha :D

Anyway, namaku Jane Reggievia Santoso.
Jane- the first name, Reggievia- middle name, Santoso- of course refers to my family name.
Biasanya "Jane" nggak pernah 'ikut' kalau lagi nulis nama di mana pun.
Official name-nya cuman Reggievia Santoso.
Waktu itu nanya sama nyokap, kenapa sih Jane nggak ikutan jadi official name aja, secara gue tiga bersaudara (I'm the oldest and the only woman! :D), nama dua adik berawalan J (Jeven dan Jevian). Bahkan orangtua pun punya nama berawalan J juga. Nggak asik dong kalau nama sendiri, anak paling tua pula, nggak ikutan ber-J ria?

Jadi kisahnya begini, waktu ngurus KK, nyokap udah tulis nama gue itu Jane Reggievia Santoso, lengkap deh. Nggak tau yang ngurus KK itu lagi mabok, ngantuk, lemot atau apa, nama JANE itu ditulis sama dia jadi nama nyokap. Nyokap tau suruh ganti dong, yaudah diganti. Kali ini yang salah Reggievia-nya, ditulis sama dia 'REGINA'. Nyokap ngomel-ngomel, akhirnya pergi ganti lagi. Dan pada akhirnya, nama gue hanya ditulis "Reggievia Santoso". Karena nyokap udah bohuat, males ngurus lagi, pada hari itulah nama gue jadi Reggievia Santoso, without Jane.

Pas tau ternyata kisahnya begitu, gue sungguh amat menyesal kenapa nama gue cuman dua kata, sementara adik gue ada tiga. Nyokap nawarin mau tambain Jane-nya nggak, gue bilang nggak usah deh, lagian mahal butuh sejuta buat ganti nama *nggak abis mikir untuk nambain nama 4 huruf doang butuh sejuta -.-*.
Akhirnya gue mikir gimana cara mengeksiskan nama si Jane ini. Kebetulan pas naik SMP tiga, gue mulai mengenal dunia perforuman. Gue pake ID dengan Jane dan memperkenalkan diri dengan nama Jane. Jadilah sampai saat ini, gue dikenal teman-teman forum dengan nama Jane, sedikit yang tau nama gue sebenarnya itu Reggievia. Berasa bule kalau dipanggil Jane :p

Tapi ada sedikit masalah semenjak si Jane eksis. Kalau ada teman forum yang telepon atau datang ke rumah mencari si Jane, butuh waktu 1 menit untuk mikir "siapa ya Jane?"
Orang rumah termasuk gue sendiri loading cukup lama untuk mikir, abis itu baru ngeh "oh ya Jane, bentar ya dipanggilin..." atau kalau kebetulan gue yang jawab sendiri "oh ya ini gue, ada apa?"
Sebaliknya kalau ada yang manggil gue Reggie (my peeps call me with 'reggie' or 'gie', reggie sounds so masculine don't you think?), yang kenal gue sebagai Jane pasti bingung, hahaha!
Lucu juga ya kalau punya beragam nama kayak gini :p

Oh iya, mungkin ada yang tanya arti nama Jane dan Reggievia apa.
Kata nyokap dan bokap sih Jane itu means "queen", disamain sama chinese name gue yang ber-meaning sama. Kalau Reggievia kata nyokap cuman buat keren doang LOL
Tadinya Reggienovia, karena dipikir gue lahir bukan November. Eh ternyata lahirnya bulan Oktober, nggak mungkin jadi Reggieoktavia kata nyokap, dan menurut gue itu jelek banget *reggienovia aja sounds so weird for me, untung aja nggak jadi*. Jadi ok- dan nov- dihilangkan jadi via-nya aja yang dipake. Reggie terinspirasi dari nama REGINA, sih. REGINA itu Christian name dan artinya "queen" juga.

So, begitulah cerita di balik nama Jane Reggievia. Long story, kan? hekekek.

Belakangan ini gue suka mikirin sesuatu yang berhubungan soal 'pacaran.'
Topik ini sering banget jadi bahan pembicaraan bareng teman-teman kalau lagi ngumpul.
Dan akhirnya pengen ngebahas ini di blog sendiri [:

Nggak bisa bohong, remaja seumuran gue (18th still a teenager rite? :p) suka banget mikirin tentang cowo. Teman-teman seumuran yang ada di sekeliling atau yang gue tahu, 90% dari mereka udah punya pacar.

Melihat gue yang belum punya pacar, otomatis pertanyaan seperti 'kok belum punya cowo lu?' menimpa diriku. Umm, well... gue cuman bisa kasih jawaban: 'hehe, gue belum siap pacaran.' Itu jawaban paling jujur yang bisa gue kasih ke mereka yang bertanya.
Padahal dari lubuk hati yang paling dalam, sebenernya gue pengen punya cowo.
Ini wajar, karena menurut gue, gue hidup di lingkungan di mana teman-teman yang seumuran mereka sedang dalam status in a relationship. Berarti secara nggak langsung, mereka mempengaruhi gue untuk punya status yang sama.
Kalau gue lihat, punya cowo itu menyenangkan. Kalau kamu lagi bete, kamu tinggal telpon atau sms dia. Kalau kamu lagi pengen makan di restoran A misalnya, dan saat itu nggak ada yang bisa nemenin kamu makan, si pacar bisa kamu ajak makan di restoran A (soal BMM=bayar masing-masing atau ada yang mau traktir itu urusan kamu dan dia :p).
Dan yang paling penting, punya cowo itu bisa protect kamu kalau kamu lagi ada masalah atau kamu lagi di kondisi yang nggak aman.
Punya cowo itu memang menyenangkan, kan?

Cuman suatu hari satu pertanyaan yang 'lain' datang menghampiri.
Seorang teman pernah menanyakan pertanyaan ini.
'Tujuan kamu pengen pacaran emang apa?'
DANG.
Honestly, this is a hard question. Gue yang langsung pasang tampang 'gawat, gue juga nggak tau mau jawab apa' ke teman itu.
Tujuan gue pengen pacaran itu apa ya? Hanya sekedar ikut-ikutan, kah? Ini jawaban yang paling masuk akal menurut gue. Secara gue terjepit di situasi yang sedikit memaksa untuk berpacaran. Kalau gue sendiri nggak bisa menjawab pertanyaan teman gue tadi, gimana gue mau pacaran coba? Nanti si pacar tiba-tiba tanya, "eh, kamu kenapa mau pacaran sama aku?" masa gue cuman bisa jawab, "karena kamu orangnya baik."
Hueee, nggak banget jawaban gue. Seharusnya gue bisa kasih jawaban yang lebih konsisten dan masuk akal.

Jadi intinya sekarang, gue memang belum siap punya cowo. Mungkin terdengar aneh, tapi ya keadaan yang sebenarnya begitu. Saat ini aja gue masih suka banget 'cuci mata'. Liat cowo A, wuih keren banget dia. Liat cowo B, beuh baik banget sih dia. Liat cowo C, aih dia pinter banget. Yang kayak gini mau punya cowo (baca: karena kalau kamu udah cowo, sedikit kesempatan kamu bisa kayak gini, huehehe), mana bisa~
Kalau memang sudah waktunya, pasti cowo itu datang deh. Gue punya prinsip soal cowo:
Kamu nggak usah mencari, tapi kamu yang dicari.
Enaknya jadi cewe ya begitu, kita sebagai cewe yang dicari kok, kita tinggal tunggu aja :D
Tapi ya *tetep... kita juga boleh pasang kriteria cowo yang kita mau, punya kriteria tertentu bisa jadi bahan seleksi kalau suatu saat nanti ada seseorang yang datang menghampirimu.

Hi, people! :D
Finally I did my first post in my NEW blog.
Yeah a new one, as you know (well maybe some of you), I have my previous blog on blogspot too.
I decided to make a new one, don't ask me why :p
But I promise this blog will give you a different vibe than previous ^^
I've posted many things in my old one, now that blog is closed permanently for readers.

Am waiting for have my new phone (I wish Blackberry :p). Why BB?
Cause I think BB has an application for blogging, it will make me easier to blog.
Since I'm in China (now I'm on my holiday in Indonesia ;D) and blogspot is banned, BB will be my saviour to blog. LOL xP

So here I am.
